Dr. Barry Asman

Dr. Asman was born in Birmingham, Alabama and attended the University of Alabama.  He graduated from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and served his residency in pediatrics at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia.  Following his residency, Dr. Asman completed a Specialty Fellowship in Child and Adult allergy, asthma and immunology at The University of Pittsburgh's Children's Hospital.

Dr. Asman's professional interests are in patient education, allergic nasal/lung/skin diseases and asthma.  He is a member of the American Medical Association, Allegheny County Medical Society, American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, The American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, American Academy of Pediatrics, The Pittsburgh Allergy Society and the Pennsylvania Allergy and Asthma Association where he is the past President.  His personal interest lie in computer applications, theater and his family.
